Toucan Computing, which specialises in IT for the education sector, was enjoying a good period of growth. However, changes in the market and more players entering the space meant that the business needed to deliver a concise and consistent message to its expanding customer base and target market, so that it was clear what Toucan Computing specialised in. Toucan Computing wanted to work with an experienced marketing specialist to develop a clear marketing strategy and communications plan, with the long-term goal of recruiting a junior marketer to manage ongoing activities successfully.
Toucan Computing chose to work with 55 Connect as they needed someone with solid, all-round experience and a fresh pair of eyes that could assess their marketing with honesty and clarity – but without the commitment of a full time, additional headcount. 55 Connect began with a marketing audit and went on to identify what the core strengths and messages should be for Toucan Computing and together they developed a brand.
